Markab is the third-brightest star in the constellation Pegasus and the thirty-eighth-brightest star in the night sky. It is a blue giant star located about 133 light-years away from Earth.
Markab has an apparent magnitude of 2.04 and is one of the most prominent stars in the autumn sky in the Northern Hemisphere.
