Sunspot AR 4274

Sunspot AR 4274 is a large, magnetically complex active region currently visible on the Sun’s surface. It contains 19 visible spots and spans an area of 330 millionths of the solar hemisphere. This region has produced 2 C-class flares, 7 M-class flares, 1 X-class flare so far and currently shows a 99% probability of C-class, 70% of M-class, and 25% of X-class flares. It is located at heliographic latitude N24°, Earth-facing longitude 40°, and Carrington longitude 277°.
