How to find NGC1954 using Orion

Begin with Orion, then follow the reference stars toward NGC1954.

Identify Saiph in or near Orion; the chart shows its position relative to the guide.

From Saiph, move about 3.4° toward the southwest until you reach HYG 26395.0.

From HYG 26395.0, move about 2.5° toward the southwest until you reach NGC1954. This is the target field.
