How to find NGC2215 using Orion

NGC2215 is 14° above the horizon toward the east.

Begin with Orion, then follow the reference stars toward NGC2215.

Recognize the characteristic star pattern of Orion before following the route.

Identify Saiph in or near Orion; the chart shows its position relative to the guide.

From Saiph, move about 6.7° toward the northeast until you reach HYG 29417.0.

From HYG 29417.0, move about 2.3° toward the east until you reach NGC2215. This is the target field.
