Center Gacrux in the finder or a low-power eyepiece before following the field stars.

From Gacrux, move about 4.6° toward the west until you reach HYG 58379.0.

From HYG 58379.0, move about 1.3° toward the northwest until you reach NGC3960. This is the target field.
