Follow the route from one recognizable star to the next until you reach NGC5281.

NGC5281 is below the horizon at the selected time. No suitable observing time was found during the next two nights.

Hadar

Center Hadar in the finder or a low-power eyepiece before following the field stars.

From Hadar, move about 3° toward the southwest until you reach HYG 67261.0.

From HYG 67261.0, move about 0.3° toward the south until you reach NGC5281. This is the target field.
