How to find NGC5986 using Scorpius

Recognize the characteristic star pattern of Scorpius before following the route.

Identify Larawag in or near Scorpius; the chart shows its position relative to the guide.

From Larawag, move about 6.1° toward the southwest until you reach HYG 80390.0.

From HYG 80390.0, move about 4.9° toward the west until you reach HYG 78384.0.

From HYG 78384.0, move about 2.8° toward the west until you reach NGC5986. This is the target field.
