How to find NGC6215 using Scorpius

Begin with Scorpius, then follow the reference stars toward NGC6215.

Recognize the characteristic star pattern of Scorpius before following the route.

Identify Atria in or near Scorpius; the chart shows its position relative to the guide.

From Atria, move about 3.7° toward the north until you reach HYG 82517.0.

From HYG 82517.0, move about 6.3° toward the north until you reach HYG 82363.0.

From HYG 82363.0, move about 0.2° toward the east until you reach NGC6215. This is the target field.
