Deneb is the brightest star in the constellation Cygnus and the twentieth-brightest star in the night sky. It is a blue supergiant star located about 2,600 light-years away from Earth.

Deneb has an apparent magnitude of 1.25 and is one of the most luminous stars visible to the naked eye. It is part of the Summer Triangle asterism.
