How to find IC1307 using Cygnus

Begin with Cygnus, then follow the reference stars toward IC1307.

Recognize the characteristic star pattern of Cygnus before following the route.

Identify Sadr in or near Cygnus; the chart shows its position relative to the guide.

From Sadr, move about 5.6° toward the southwest until you reach HYG 98753.0.

From HYG 98753.0, move about 6.8° toward the southwest until you reach HYG 97028.0.

From HYG 97028.0, move about 2.9° toward the south until you reach IC1307. This is the target field.
