How to find M15 using Pegasus

This guide uses bright stars first, then narrows the field for a telescope or binocular finder. Use Pegasus as the main sky landmark.

Follow the route from one recognizable star to the next until you reach M15.

M15 is 61° above the horizon toward the southeast.

Begin with Pegasus, then follow the reference stars toward M15.

Recognize the characteristic star pattern of Pegasus before following the route.

Identify Enif in or near Pegasus; the chart shows its position relative to the guide.

From Enif, move about 3.9° toward the northwest until you reach HYG 106243.0.

From HYG 106243.0, move about 0.3° toward the west until you reach M15. This is the target field.
