How to find NGC1514 using Taurus

Begin with Taurus, then follow the reference stars toward NGC1514.

Identify Aldebaran in or near Taurus; the chart shows its position relative to the guide.

From Aldebaran, move about 6.3° toward the northwest until you reach HYG 20635.0.

From HYG 20635.0, move about 5.3° toward the northwest until you reach HYG 19513.0.

From HYG 19513.0, move about 2.7° toward the north until you reach HYG 19205.0.

From HYG 19205.0, move about 1.8° toward the north until you reach NGC1514. This is the target field.
