How to find NGC1807 using Taurus

NGC1807 is 63° above the horizon toward the southeast.

Begin with Taurus, then follow the reference stars toward NGC1807.

Recognize the characteristic star pattern of Taurus before following the route.

Identify Aldebaran in or near Taurus; the chart shows its position relative to the guide.

From Aldebaran, move about 7° toward the east until you reach HYG 23607.0.

From HYG 23607.0, move about 1.9° toward the northeast until you reach NGC1807. This is the target field.
