How to find NGC2169 using Orion

Begin with Orion, then follow the reference stars toward NGC2169.

Recognize the characteristic star pattern of Orion before following the route.

Identify Alhena in or near Orion; the chart shows its position relative to the guide.

From Alhena, move about 6.6° toward the west until you reach HYG 29426.0.

From HYG 29426.0, move about 0.9° toward the west until you reach NGC2169. This is the target field.
