How to find NGC6483 using Scorpius

Begin with Scorpius, then follow the reference stars toward NGC6483.

Recognize the characteristic star pattern of Scorpius before following the route.

Identify Atria in or near Scorpius; the chart shows its position relative to the guide.

From Atria, move about 3.3° toward the east until you reach HYG 84969.0.

From HYG 84969.0, move about 3.9° toward the northeast until you reach HYG 86929.0.

From HYG 86929.0, move about 1.8° toward the northeast until you reach NGC6483. This is the target field.
