Alphonsus - Lunar Crater
Alphonsus is a prominent impact crater located in the central highlands of the Moon's near side. It is known for its central peak and dark-haloed craters on its floor.
The crater has a diameter of approximately 119 kilometers and a depth of about 2.7 kilometers. Its central peak rises to a height of approximately 1.5 kilometers.
Alphonsus is estimated to be around 3.9 billion years old and is a key feature for lunar studies.
