Apollo 14 was the third manned mission to land on the Moon, with astronauts Alan Shepard and Edgar Mitchell. They landed in the Fra Mauro region, conducting two moonwalks and deploying scientific instruments. Shepard famously hit two golf balls on the lunar surface, demonstrating the effects of the Moon's lower gravity.
